About Us

Our Story

My interest in Chiropractic Medicine arose out of my love of sport. Growing up I played baseball, football, golf, and rugby. I learned first-hand how demanding my athletic performance could be on me physically, after suffering multiple injuries; including leg and collarbone fractures

My passion for sports led me to study Kinesiology at Acadia University, where I graduated in 2007. From there I received my Doctorate of Chiropractic from the New York Chiropractic College. I began my career working as a Chiropractor at Carleton University’s Sports Medicine Clinic, where I was also the Chiropractor for the Men’s Hockey Team (Go Ravens!).  After seeing the pain that many athletes suffered after injuries, I was inspired to start my own practice. In 2015 I created FORTIS with the goal of combining treatment strategies in order to provide relief for patients’ neuromuscular dysfunction. I have a special interest in correcting faulty neuro-muscular patterns and strongly believe that treating the nervous system is the key to full and functional rehabilitation. My approach in the treatment of chronic overuse injuries is popular among hockey players, football players, marathon runners, cross-fit trainees, and powerlifting athletes.

I like to stay on top of industry innovations and have obtained certifications in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) (Prague School of Rehabilitation)Lymphatic Assessment & Treatment, Advanced Functional Needling, Active Release Techniques (ART), and Athletic Movement Assessment.

I call South Kanata my home, where you may catch me in a local park swinging a kettlebell.
