Dr. Jon Steen, Clinic Director and Chiropractor at FORTIS Spine & Sport, was invited to the Designs for Sport supplement company’s international launch to discuss how hormesis can help you fast-track your recovery and drastically improve health and wellbeing.

Dr. Steen defines hormesis as a “process in which exposure to a low dose of a chemical agent or environmental factor that is damaging at higher doses induces an adaptive beneficial effect on the cell or organism.” This principle can also be understood as “the dose determines the poison” or simply: “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”.

In this presentation, recorded during the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Steen explains in detail how the nervous system, organ systems, and musculoskeletal systems can be optimized for greater health and wellbeing.
