Being a multi sport athlete growing up, competing in trampoline, track & field, volleyball, and rugby I delt with a lot of injuries and experienced a lot of frustration of never feeling like I was performing at my best. My interest with injury prevention and sports performance began at a young age after I experienced what I thought was a career ending injury. At the age of 13 I was a competitive trampolinist training to compete at the Olympics when one night I tore my ACL, hamstrings, fractured my tibia and dislocated my leg. This resulted in countless hours and days spent at the hospital, physical therapy and thinking I would never get back to where I was. Which I didn’t. I never made it to the Olympics but instead I developed an interest in the biomechanics of the human body and a passion for wanting to help others recover from injuries and optimize their performance. My interest in the biomechanics of the human body led me to study Human Kinetics at the University of Guelph. From there I studied at Northeast College of Health Sciences (formally NYCC) where I received my Doctor of Chiropractic. During my time there I spent most, if not all of my free time at the gym where my love for weightlifting arose. Now post graduation, I focus my training and treatment on optimizing strength and explosive power to enhance performance, prevent injury, and facilitate rapid recovery.
